By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) –
Although the exhibition is started since last October, I have only visited it last week… (too captivated by Donald Trump…)
We do not see life the same way after seeing the exhibition: “THE LIBRARY AT NIGHT”, which runs until next August at the Grande Bibliothèque in Montreal.
The exhibition technology is simple and is almost entirely based on the use of an iPhone inserted in a helmet and a specially designed app for viewing in 3D. One can compare this project with the recent one by the New York Times (Virtual Reality) and the cardboard helmet distributed to subscribers.
The choice of ten libraries presented in the Montreal exhibition was a bit disappointing because I would have added two or three one more important, but the virtual appearance and play touched me a lot, if not deeply. If I were to show producer or director of a museum, I would worry about the future because nothing will be material in a few years.
An exhibition that must be seen!
