THE STRANGER IN THE WOODS…

March 14, 2017

THE STRANGER IN THE WOODS
By Bernard Bujold –
With the snow storm coming over US and Canada (March 14-15, 2017), one interesting book to read during this forced isolation could be this new best seller THE STRANGER IN THE WOODS by Michael Finkel.
This is the stunning real-life account of one man’s withdrawal from society who became a secret hermit near a summer village during over 27 years, in the US state of Maine.
The winter descriptions are particularly realistic and reflective about the human feelings of one survival.
Have a good reading and enjoy the snow storm…

SOUVENIRS FROM THE PAST IN WESTMOUNT (QUEBEC)

March 12, 2017

SOUVENIRS FROM THE PAST IN WESTMOUNT (QUEBEC)By Bernard Bujold
When I arrived in Montreal in 1991, my first woman lover lived in Westmount and every Sunday, at the beginning of the relationship, her mother welcomed me with her whole family for Sunday supper in their magnificent stone house.
I have not seen the beautiful lover for more than 25 years but I have never forgotten the beauty and romance of Westmount and neither the warmth of those nice suppers…
Often on weekend mornings, I love to go in this sector of the Montreal city and stop doing some shopping there as to keep the flame of my memories well alive…
